2024 Chaffey Bros Wine Co Battle for Barossa La Resistance! GSM

This is Barossa red with all the flavour but none of the heaviness. Juicy raspberry, cherry and dark fruit lead the way, with a little spice and a savoury edge that keep things interesting, while the smooth, generous finish makes it seriously easy to drink. It's a cracking example of how Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre can work together to make something that's both full of character and incredibly approachable, which is exactly why it made the cut.

What to eat with it?

A big bowl of homemade spag bol would be hard to beat here. The juicy fruit and savoury spice are a brilliant match for a rich tomato-based sauce. Chargrilled lamb, barbecued meats or roasted vegetables will also work a treat.

Drink now or later?

This is made for enjoying now, with plenty of juicy fruit and freshness to get stuck into. It should comfortably hold for another few years, but there's absolutely no reason to wait.
